Well, we've had an exciting 2 weeks so far! We've had AWESOME weather (have yet to be rained out), made good friends, and enjoyed wonderful family time. The boys LOVE swimming, hunting for sea shells, chasing birds, sailing boats, watching water sports, and eating PB & J... We've made some fun trips to Coconut Point , Old Naples, The Waterside Shops, beaches and parks... Today we are going to the Naples Pier and maybe out for some ice cream! Sutton and Shaeffer are missing their friends back home and have really tried to engage some other kids. We have a 12 year old friend named Parker that plays beach ball catch with the boys... If one of us tries to get in the game it is not allowed "no daddy, i'm playing with Parker"... Sutton will also see older kids playing at the pool or beach and tends to give them names... Usually these names are of friends back home so we've heard Tucker, Tegan, Caedon/Caiou, Alex, George (not sure why), Julia and Emma... We're so glad you all came with us to Florida, even George! Today we met a little girl named Cloe at the pool and she is 2, as well, so we look forward to playing with her. We also have a friend Decklin who is exactly Sutton's age and they live here so we hope to see them more. The boys talk about Wrigley just about every day! They really miss her, which is so sweet. We've called her a couple times and she is enjoying her time at Camp Ryder, but misses the boys too...
Ben and I have not had a sitter yet, but we plan to have one this weekend after the boys go down so we can go to a "fancier" dinner... I read two books the first week I was here and both of them made me cry. The second one made me SOB so I gave up reading last week and might be up for another book to start today... I read The Bright Forever and The Friday Night Knitting Club and would recommend both of them... Ben also read a book, Quiet Strength, Tony Dungy's Biography and I think I'll read it now that he is finished... Well, we look forward to seeing our friends and family when we get home... We already have a couple birthday parties and play dates set up and look forward to our last month before school starts again...
OH, there are no pictures because I didn't bring my USB cord (thinking Ben would have his) so we were borrowing someone's and they left, so no pictures until I either get out to buy one or get home...
