Shaeffer's Surgery...

SHAEFFER SPORTING HIS HOSPITAL PJ'S
PLAYING IN THE WAITING ROOM
RECOVERY LOVE

Shaeffer got tubes put in his ears today at Children's Hospital. He did an awesome job and is feeling great! The anesthesiologist was complimenting Shaeffer a ton because he didn't fuss, cry, move or anything during the process. He was so interested in what was going on... He just sat there and let him put the mask on his face and he went right to sleep. It wasn't half as bad as people told me and I'm so glad I was in there with him. After that they took us to a waiting room where we were given a "secret number" in which we could watch this screen and it told you (by number) if your child was in the OR, ending surgery, etc.. It was great. 15 minutes later Dr. Rhodes came and got us and told us Shaeffer did great, we then went to recovery to see him. He had a bit of a slow recovery, vomiting, the whole bit, but we got to take him home (after an ultrasound of the kidneys) around 9:30am. He vomited again in the car (fun to clean up), but returned to his happy self by noon or so. We are now just watching for ear drainage and remaining low key.. Thanks for all your prayers. We are EXHAUSTED (up at 5, and haven't slept well in weeks)... Hoping for a relaxing night and day tomorrow! THANKS AGAIN...
